OUR KIND OF DIFFERENT SHADES.
We all have those “us” who are visible to the eyes of people and then those “us” who can only be seen by our own eyes alone and our creator. Our own eyes are usually suppressed by society’s lay out format of living, expressing ideas, and voicing inner thoughts, history made by our own heroes, our own kinsmen mindsets and our ignorance too, plays a big role.
We are convinced of how beauty, genius, success and many
others should look like. We move steadily on motivational words, foundations, said
and set respectively, by those before us and take them to heart. We forget that
these individuals were also discovering themselves, navigating life like many of us.
They were on a journey they did not know where it would lead them, it was an experience. Those, whose experience, is meant to take us out, sometimes keeps us guarded and acts as a limitation. Now, we have chosen to watch from the sidelines.
Caging oneself inside because of other people’s limited
sight, experience, and choosing to do what they deem and believe is right and true, is like exploring the land that has
been explored already. There is nothing much to quench the search-thirsty that
we all tend to have, so life becomes a routine because there is nothing much and exciting to
discover. That’s why we continue searching for fulfilment from outside of us. The
few who standout and refuse to be enslaved by history and society, to follow
the crowd, are considered ‘inspirational heroes’ which we usually applause from
our hidden caves. What a shame!
Its God fulfilling walking the paths that have been set
individually for each one of us. By that, we won’t have to struggle with envy, jealousy and comparison, because then, we will discover our true selves and celebrate them.
We will walk with heads high and comforted hearts knowing that we are all
special because of our differences. We won’t be afraid of “us” and it will save
us much time, heartache and make us fruitful. We won't be slaves of what people know!
That’s how wide God is, the incredible creativity that He has. In a way, we all are the same from afar, but up close, we are different shades of our own selves. That’s why, in the same history books of the same industries, different people keep making history, otherwise we could settle for one man’s experience.
That being said, refuse to
suppress yourself over the pressure and measurements of society, history, certain beliefs, and yourself
sometimes. Challenge the norm and refuse common. Don’t settle for less, don’t
follow the crowd, there is much more in you screaming to let it free! Allow yourself to blossom, to fly high and let out all the different shades of "you" out because they make you special.
